iOS and Android App Development with Kotlin Multiplatform
One code base, two platforms, native performance. We took our Pandu and Fonvio apps to the App Store and Google Play with this technology.

What is Kotlin Multiplatform and why we use it
Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) is the technology developed by JetBrains and officially supported by Google for Android: business logic, the data layer and networking code are written once and run natively on iOS and Android. With Compose Multiplatform the interface can be shared as well. So instead of two separate teams and two code bases, one team can ship the same quality app to both platforms.
Why not Flutter or React Native? Because Kotlin is Android's native language and KMP compiles to real native code on iOS, it makes no compromise on performance or platform fit; platform-specific screens can be written in SwiftUI or Jetpack Compose when needed. We believe it is the most sustainable option for long-lived products and compliance with store policies.
We developed and published the Pandu education app (gamified content, quizzes, an animated character, in-app purchases) and the Fonvio Restaurant / Fonvio Business apps with KMP. We work with .NET APIs on the back end, Firebase for notifications and App Store and Google Play billing for payments; we handle store assets, version management and the publishing process end to end.
Six concrete reasons
Our technology choices are driven by performance, security and sustainability, not by fashion.
One code base
Business logic and the data layer are shared between iOS and Android; development and maintenance costs drop.
Native performance
Real native compilation on iOS, Kotlin's natural strength on Android; smooth animation and fast launch.
Google support
The shared-code technology Google officially recommends for Android; long-term assurance.
Flexibility
Platform-specific screens with SwiftUI or Compose when needed; not a restrictive framework.
Compose Multiplatform
A modern, declarative interface; design system and components consistent on both platforms.
Sustainability
A long-lived, testable code base with the Kotlin ecosystem and JetBrains tooling.
Kotlin Multiplatform in our projects
How we position it in real projects and which work it carries.
Customer apps
E-commerce, loyalty, booking and membership apps; with .NET APIs and notification infrastructure.
Education and content apps
As in Pandu: gamification, progress tracking and in-app purchases.
Business and field apps
Restaurant management (Fonvio Business), field forms, delivery reports, offline work.
Store publishing
App Store and Google Play accounts, assets, version and signing management, review processes.

OUR TECHNOLOGY APPROACH“One code base instead of two separate apps: the same feature ships to both platforms on the same day.”
The tools we use alongside it
An open, documented stack any team you choose can take over.
What we built with Kotlin Multiplatform
All work ↗
Fonvio Restoran
FOOD & DRINK · IOS
Discover restaurants and book a table in seconds — city-based discovery, live availability and instant reservations.
Fonvio İşletme
RESTAURANT SAAS · IOS
The management app for restaurant owners — reservations, menus, tables and finances in your pocket.
Pandu
EDUCATION · IOS & ANDROID
Gamified exam prep for KPSS & YKS — solve questions, join mock exams, track daily goals.
Services where we use this technology
Technology is a means, not an end; on the service pages we explain what we build and how.
Technical questions
Book a technical call →Who publishes the app to the stores?+
We do. We open the developer accounts in your name, prepare store assets and descriptions, and manage the review process.
Can our existing native app be migrated to KMP?+
Yes, gradually. We first move shared business logic into a shared module and migrate the interface step by step; the app stays live.
Is offline operation possible?+
Yes. With a local database and a sync layer, field apps work without internet and sync when connectivity returns.
How long does app development take?+
3–4 months is typical for an MVP; scope and store review times affect this.
